Make up is life

It's always a choice what we do and how we accentuate our face. There's this trend of no make up like some celebrities like Alicia Keys. In the workplace we are encourage to put in make up to look professional. Since college we were encourage to put on a decent amount of make up.

Woke  up one day just wanting to experiment on make up. So I tried putting on my contact lenses like most of the beauty stylist would usually put on their models. For this look I wanted to create the just woke up like this look - light, almost no make up but of course eyebrows on fleek. I have always practiced on putting eyebrows but I am never still an expert! #morepractice
This ones just edited by my gay friend who is my kilay bestfriend (eyebrows expert)
Here I tried the blue lipstick for that fantasy look or the high fashion look some editors would put in the pages of some magazines or some shows... excuse the smudge as I wasn't able to fix it thoroughly due to time constraints...hashtag day job!  Plus I have to hurry to get my selfie and try another look and the Philippines temperature doesn't help!🔥 Notice my perspiration down my neck! (for the blue lipstick Mac has them)

A littleblushhere and there... and gloss but not over glossy lips... there's a trend for the whole Matte look with the advent of Kylie's, Kissproof and other lipies which is everything proof...Girls at my work are actually obsessed with the matte lipstick and it's all cool but sometimes it causes our lips to break from too much dryness... (and loving my little longer eyelash here)  I guess our obsession with the kardashians stems from the fact that they always have perfect long lashes.. (aside from the being famous for being famous) lol #nohate

Before I head out I have to choose what to share in the Instagaram account ... see all the other photos that didn't make the cut lol!  On a good day even at work you would see me in my cat eyes, my signature look if I may say...Here visible... my friend who's a guy would call this my cleopatra look...

My usual make up look in the office would be:

(just last week my boss called me out that I spent way too much time putting on make up, she just didn't realize that while putting on make up I'm also doing other things such as doing sales call by phone etc) trust me I am a multitasker extraordinaire - I can do make up along with other things.  So they say it's a jungle out there we just have to arm ourselves with weapons- mine would be my red Lippy! Sweet!

Red tape everywhere

I love my country don't get me wrong. But the system and the politics and corruption in government to say the least is something most Filipinos are not proud about.  Last week my mother was hospitalized due to an operation. We brought her  to a government funded hospital. They required us to get all these documents from the our towns DSWD in order for her to get accesss to the discounted hospitalization bills etc. It was fine until I found out that we still have to bring these documents to politicians such as the governor and the Congressman so they will be the one endorsing fund tontbe hosital. What peeved me the most is that we need to comply this and it was the weekend and no government office on Saturday's and Sundays. So my mom has to check out on a Monday...I don't understand why they have to let a politician endorse a budget for health which is just basic privilege of the people availing government services. Anyways, this rant is just my remnant frustration from that glitch but all is good now. Actually grateful for all the blessings - that my Mother is safe and better, thankful to my brother who gave his utmost financial support and all our relatives who offered their concerns and prayers. To my cousins wife who was with Mother all through her days in the hospital ..Truly you will know the people who will be there for you in times of needs. As to the governments faulty bureaucracy - maybe will just learn to deal with it... Will just do our own thing to help in whatever way we can to make this country better...I have a scholar - she's still in senior year...hopefully she'll graduate and improved her life and her family's...maybe that's my own little share for nation building.

Afternoon spent in the hospital the white wall provided a backdrop for my selfie ...

Hair goals

I wanted Gigi Hadid's hair color (most girls do, because it girl) but of course for civilians like us there are a lot of things that needs consideration such as skin color, eye color or ethnicity, cultural appropriation and the list goes. So there I was passing a mannequin and then an idea hit me. So what if I just buy a wig with ash brown color and try to see if it fits me before actually commiting to the peroxide.. if my hair could actually talk like I would always joke, she would probably say, I'm so abused!
